What Makes Your Soul Happy?

I went to a concert last weekend (Jon Butcher Axis) and it got me pondering. I absolutely love music. Live music especially. As we were watching the show I was singing along and having a good time and it dawned on me how happy I was at that moment. I don’t know about you but I want more moments like that. Pure joy. Not a care in the world. Just in the moment. Smiling, singing, laughing, and sharing a good time with my guy.
With music comes dancing, something else I love. I can’t carry a tune and my family has banned me to singing alone. But I can keep a beat and can dance. Mind you I am no Solid Gold Dancer (ya ya I am that old. Kiddies go look it up) but I do have a great time on the dance floor. One of the best things about music and dancing is you can do it anywhere for free. You may look strange in the grocery store getting your groove on but if it makes you happy go for it (I may or may not be guilty of this). You might be surprised at the smiles of happiness on the faces of strangers watching you
We need those moments. Those times where you don’t have a worry in the world. They help carry you through the rough patches, the dreary Mondays, the long meeting, and times of loneliness. They give you something to look forward to.
What are your soul singing happy moments? Do you know? Has it been so long that you forget that feeling? Well if it has it’s time to get it back.
I love being a massage therapist. It makes me happy. I want to share my happiness with others. I want to help you remember what life is about. If I can write my silly little blog and touch on something that makes you think about something and look at it in a new way, or laugh with me, then I feel good.
My point is go do what ever it is that makes your soul happy. Concerts, fishing, hiking, motorcycle rides (that’s my guys) running, yoga whatever! Take the time to fill your soul. More moments of joy equal a happy life.
My Happy Dog. He rolls in the grass with pure joy and every time I catch him doing it it makes me smile with him.
