What is a Deep Tissue Massage?
A deep tissue massage can encompass one or several massage techniques from Myofascial Mobilization, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Thai massage, Shiatsu and even Lomi Lomi are considered deep tissue massage. It can be called medical massage, therapeutic massage or deep pressure massage.
At Peaceful Strength Massage Therapy a Deep Tissue massage will focus on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. The movement is slower at times and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain. A firm pressure massage technique helps loosen muscle tissues. This massage is both corrective and therapeutic. A combination of techniques is used to affect the deeper tissues in the body. Book your massage today.
